Winter Woes: How To Hold On To Your Tan

How Newsworthy Are You?

Find out if you have what it takes to get international media coverage.

With the end of summer and winter soon knocking on our door, beach days and tanning will soon become things of the past and only exist as a distant memory. Our Sydney beauty PR team got talking about how to hold on to our hard-earned tan. Step 1: Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Moisturizing is your new best friend. If you keep your skin soft and hydrated you will prevent it from peeling and in that way your tan is going to stick around for longer. Apply a quality body moisturizer as often as possible especially after showering so your skin won’t dry up. With this technique you can get your tan to last a few weeks longer. Step 2: Fake Tanning When the sun just isn’t shining it’s time to consider sunless tanning – fake it till you make it! Before adding the tan, scrub your entire body to get rid of all dead skin. Choose a gradual tanner that slowly builds up your tan so you can avoid stripes and going from natural to bright orange in a single day. Step 3: Bronzer and Blush Don’t underestimate the power of a good bronzer and blush in winter. Use the bronzer for a naturally sun kissed look, apply on the forehead, cheeks and nose. Finish the natural look by applying blush on the apples of your cheeks. With these simple beauty tips, we hope to still look sun kissed in the drab winter months.
